Report a scam

Even if you are not considering an investment, or haven’t given your money to a person selling the investment, take the time to bring suspicious activity to our attention. Your effort may save a friend, family member, or someone in your community from falling victim to a scam artist.

We investigate complaints about the sale, recommendation, or marketing of securities in British Columbia. When you report an investment opportunity that you know or suspect isn’t right, you enable the BCSC to investigate the matter. Many investigations lead to enforcement actions that shut down sham operations and remove those involved from the market.
