The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) investigates complaints about the sale, recommendation, or marketing of securities in British Columbia (BC). In order to disrupt the actions of fraud artists, it is important that people report suspicious behavior to us as soon as they experience it.

Tips that we receive can lead to an enforcement action that shuts down sham operations and bans fraudsters from operating in BC’s capital markets.

To aid the public in bringing information to the BCSC’s attention, BCSC InvestRight has launched a new online complaint form.

Users can now file a complaint, report a scam, or submit an anonymous tip easily and quickly. For those who prefer to submit complaints by downloading and mailing in a completed form, that option is still available. The printable resources are available here:

If you have any questions about reporting a scam, filing a complaint, or submitting a tip, please contact BCSC Inquiries by phone at 604-899-6854 or toll free at 1-800-373-6393. BCSC Inquiries can also be contacted through email at [email protected].
