The BC Securities Commission’s (BCSC) Enforcement Division has added 27 new entries to the Investment Caution List since our last post in April 2021.
We encourage you to keep an eye on the BCSC’s Investment Caution List, which identifies unregistered activity or unqualified securities promotions from outside of the province that target British Columbians.
We urge BC residents to exercise caution when:
- Dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise on securities in BC;
- Considering investing in an entity that may not be in compliance with prospectus filing requirements under BC securities laws;
- Dealing with cryptocurrency trading platforms that have not been recognized or registered in BC.
Below are the latest additions to the Investment Caution List.
Companies Not Registered to Trade in or Advise on Securities or Derivatives in BC
Bit-Market claims to be located in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and it claims to offer accounts for trading in cryptocurrencies.
Koinimtd claims to offer Contracts for Difference and other complex financial products, including cryptocurrency.
Amel Investment Group claims to be based in Ontario, Canada, and it claims to be a crypto-trading, forex-trading and real estate investment company.
RBCmarkets claims to offer accounts for trading in forex, cryptocurrencies, shares, indices and commodities.
Coinxminer claims to be located in the United Kingdom, and it also claims to offer investment plans in cryptocurrency mining.
BDSwiss claims to be located in Seychelles, and it also claims to offer accounts for CFDs trading in forex, commodities, shares, indices and cryptocurrencies.
Viseming Ltd. claims to be based in London, England, and it claims to offer investment plans with different rates of return.
LegalFXTrade24 claims to be located in the United Kingdom, and it also claims to offer investment plans in cryptocurrency trading and mining.
Ezecta LLC claims to be based in Wyoming, and it claims to offer investment plans with different rates of return.
Antares Trade claims to be located in Hong Kong, and it also claims to offer investment packages for “stock trading, information products trading, cryptocurrency promotion”.
Financial Option Trade claims to be located in St. Vincente and the Grenadines, and it also claims to offer investment plans in cryptocurrency trading.
Man Capital Group Ltd. claims to offer accounts for CFD trading in FX, Stocks, Crypto, Indices and Commodities.
Haven Investment Groups claims to be located in Michigan, USA, and it also claims to offer investment plans for trading in stock, ETF, forex and options.
Expertminers claims to be based in London, England and claims to be a professional investment corporation engaged in stock, Forex market, and gold trading.
Companies That Have Not Filed Prospectus in BC
We recently became aware that SpaceGrime promoted an initial coin offering (ICO) of Grimex, in which British Columbia (BC) residents can participate.
PlanetClean Recycle Industries Corp
PlanetClean Recycle Industries Corp. claims to be based in British Columbia (BC), and advertised “that 3,000,000 shares are available at an opening price of 5.40USD per share. Availability at this price, starts on 15th March 2020 and continues through to the 31st August 2021.”
Companies That Have Not Been Recognized as an Exchange or Registered as a Dealer in BC
CryptoLegacy claims to be located in Texas, US. It also claims to offer an online cryptocurrency trading platform that British Columbia (BC) residents can use to trade in cryptocurrency.
