Investment Caution List: 6 New Additions

The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) recently added six entities to the Investment Caution List (ICL).

Some of these entities claim to offer binary options, cryptocurrencies, or an online trading platform.

 

Unregistered Companies Accepting Funds from BC Residents

The BCSC became aware of six businesses not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in BC. These companies accepted funds from British Columbia residents for trading.

HB Global

HB Global claims to be an investment firm that invests client funds in the derivatives market.

BTM Global Investment

BTM Global Investment purports to offer high returns through investments in the cryptocurrency market.

LM Swiss Direct Ltd.

LM Swiss Direct Ltd. purported to trade in binary options.

International Derivatives Group

International Derivatives Group purports to trade in the OTC derivatives market and claims to have a branch office in Toronto, Ontario.

Fxtradex

Fxtradex claims to be an online binary options trading platform provider.

ProActive Trade

ProActive Trade claims to be based in Zurich, Switzerland, and offered an online trading platform.

The BCSC relies on information from the public and other agencies when identifying and adding new entities to the list.
