Our video called Know the Value of Your Investments sets out what information must be included in your account statements.
The video shows that monthly or quarterly account statements must set out the cost and market value of each investment, whether the investment is subject to a deferred sales charge, and whether the account is covered by an investor protection fund. The video also explains the meaning of the terms deferred sales charge and investor protection fund coverage.
Knowing this information will enable you to determine whether your investments continue to be right for you. You can discuss with your registered investment advisor how these investments can help you meet your goals or whether you need to make changes in your portfolio.
We are blogging about each video in this special series. Watch for these posts, and follow us on Twitter or Facebook for similar updates.
