Four New Additions to the Investment Caution List

The BC Securities Commission (BCSC) proactively helps protect British Columbia (BC) investors by publishing an Investment Caution List.

In this blog post, we highlight four names that we added to the Investment Caution List between June and August 2015.

None of the entities listed below are registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in BC:

Imperial Options provides an on-line platform for trading binary options. BCSC became aware of Imperial Options when a BC resident was able to open an account with the firm.

Bloomfunding, purportedly a division of Bloom Energy Resources Inc. (also known as Bloomenergy), solicited BC residents to buy shares of Bloom Energy and instructed them to send the funds to a bank account in Toronto, Ontario.

Bulls & Bears Traders / Bulls and Bears LLC (BnB) purports to have an office in BC and offers investment opportunities with high returns that vary depending on the package purchased. BCSC became aware that a BC resident was able to open an account to invest with BnB.

Broker Capital, which claims to have an office in Belize City, Belize, offers an on-line forex trading platform. The BCSC became aware that Broker Capital made unsolicited telephone calls to BC residents, to open an account with the firm.
