The BC Securities Commission’s (BCSC) Enforcement Division has added 44 new entries to the Investment Caution List since our last post in July 2021.
We encourage you to keep an eye on the BCSC’s Investment Caution List, which identifies unregistered activity or unqualified securities promotions from outside of the province that target British Columbians.
We urge BC residents to exercise caution when:
- Dealing with firms that are not registered to trade or advise on securities in BC;
- Considering investing in an entity that may not be in compliance with prospectus filing requirements under BC securities laws;
- Dealing with cryptocurrency trading platforms that have not been recognized or registered in BC.
Below are the latest additions to the Investment Caution List.
Companies Not Registered to Trade in or Advise on Securities or Derivatives in BC
BudsWell Inc. claims to be based in Ontario, and claims to manage “portfolios for individuals, qualified retirement plans and corporate entities utilizing mutual funds and individual securities.”
CreditEUBank claims to be located in Toronto, Ontario, and it also claims to offer investment plans for trading in cryptocurrencies.
Bit-Finance claims to be located in the United Kingdom, and it also claims to offer accounts for trading in Forex, Commodities, Stock Indices and Cryptocurrencies.
Global Investment Trading – Liyeplimal
Global Investment Trading – Liyeplimal claims to be based in Cameroon , and it also claims to offer cryptocurrency trading services.
Elcomercio24 claims to be located in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and it also claims to offer accounts for trading in cryptocurrency.
InfinityCapitalG claims to offer accounts for trading in Stocks, Commodities, Currencies, Indices and Cryptocurrencies.
Rockfort International Limited
Rockfort International Limited claims to be based in Toronto, Ontario, and it claims “to offer customized trading solutions to match diverse brokerage needs” in financial products.
Pibexa claims to be located in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and it also claims to offer accounts for forex trading.
RT Fintech Limited claims to be located in Vancouver, British Columbia, and it also claims to offer trading accounts for Forex, Indices, Cryptocurrencies, Commodities and Shares.
ProfitsTrade Ltd. claims to be located in the Dominica, and it also claims to offer accounts for trading in Forex, Indices, Cryptocurrencies, and Commodities.
Cryptobase claims to be located in the United Kingdom and the United States, and it also claims to offer investment plans for cryptocurrency mining and trading.
SPX Markets claims to be located in the United Kingdom and it also claims to offer accounts for trading in Cryptocurrencies, Stocks, Commodities and Forex.
Accord Holdings Ltd. claims to be based in Malta, and it claims to offer trading plans in CFD, Forex and Cryptocurrency.
ForexxCoinOptions claims to be located in the USA, and it also claims to offer accounts for trading in cryptocurrency, forex, stock, commodities and real estate.
CryptLogger PLC claims to have offices in Vancouver and claims to be a crypto-asset management company offering high-growth investment opportunities in cryptocurrency.
Platinumx Trade claims to be located in the United States and it also claims to offer investment plans for cryptocurrency trading.
