CRM2 Video Series: Charges and Compensation

BCSC InvestRight video explains what to expect in your annual Charges and Compensation Report.

Our video called “Know the Cost of Your Registered Investment Advisor” sets out what to expect in your annual Charges and Compensation Report.  Your report will include details about what you paid during the year for operating and transaction fees and other charges and what other organizations paid to your registered investment advisor’s firm for your investments.

The Fees & Charges page includes a link to a sample Charges and Compensation Report so you can review the type information you will receive.

The information in the Investment Performance Report, together with the Charges and Compensation Report, allows you to discuss with your advisor how they are helping you reach your investment goals.

While the requirement to provide the report came into effect in July 2016, firms have one year to provide you with your first report. Ask you advisor when you can expect to receive your Charges and Compensation Report.
