As you progress in your investing journey, different styles and types of investing can feel confusing — but they don’t have to be. The more you learn about investing, the more you may notice people approach their investments in very different ways.

How do you know if these strategies are right for you? What do they mean? You’re in the right place. We’ve created a page that explains common investment strategies in a simple, easy-to-understand way. If you’re interested in changing your investment strategy, always start by knowing your goals and time horizon. Once you know that, think about the following.

  • Do you want regular income or dividends from your investments?
  • Are you interested in tracking an index like the S&P or TSX?
  • Are you willing to spend time researching stocks?
  • Do you want to invest in companies that care about the planet and people?

It’s important to know your investing self. These strategies may not be right for you – and that’s ok!

Visit our Common Investment Strategies page to learn more. It’s packed with helpful info to guide you on your investing journey.
