The page is a starting point for new investors, including people who are new to Canada as well as those whose first language is not English. The information on this page is meant to help new investors make more informed investment decisions and help them to better protect their money.

What’s on the New Page

As the title of the page suggests, the Introduction to Investing page covers the basics of investing. The topics covered include:

  • Saving and investing
  • Types of investment accounts
  • Buying investment products
  • Working with a registered investment advisor or firm
  • Investment fraud
