BCSC Partners with VIRL to Offer Free Webinar

The BCSC and VIRL hosted a free webinar to help people recognize investment fraud and avoid becoming a victim of it.

The BC Securities Commission (BCSC) and the Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL) hosted a free webinar in June to help people recognize investment fraud and avoid becoming a victim of it.

BCSC’s Director of Enforcement, Doug Muir, was the presenter. Using actual cases that took place on Vancouver Island, he explained common techniques that fraudsters employ, and discussed how to recognize, reject, and report investment fraud to the BCSC.

If you missed the live webinar, you can watch the presentation in its entirety below.
