Why BCSC InvestRight Created the Quiz
The idea of investing can be overwhelming for many British Columbians. Common reasons holding people back from investing include that it might be too risky, or that investing concepts are too complicated to wrap your head around. On the other hand, some people feel they know more than they really do about investing, which could lead to overconfidence and unnecessary risky investment decisions.
Investing literacy is an important part of a successful, lifelong financial journey. The BC Securities Commission’s goal is to empower investors to become better informed about all aspects of this journey so that they can protect their financial interests and financial futures. Investors with a greater level of understanding of investing concepts are in a better position to make informed investment decisions and avoid fraud.
Entertaining tools such as quizzes are a great way to learn and retain knowledge as they provide an engaging and experiential learning environment.
