The Enforcement Roundup is a monthly summary of enforcement-related activities in British Columbia taken by securities regulators.

The March 2024 edition of the Enforcement Roundup features an enforcement action taken by the BC Securities Commission (BCSC) along with 17 new additions to the Investment Caution List.

BCSC Settlement Agreement  

Anthony Kevin Jackson, BridgeMark Financial Corp., and Jackson & Company Professional Corp 

Anthony Kevin Jackson, BridgeMark Financial Corp., and Jackson & Company Professional Corp. admitted to participating in a scheme involving private placements and prepaid consulting fees for little or no consulting work. As part of the scheme, nine issuers announced proceeds of $50.9 million from private placements in 2018 with most of the funds given to consultants and issuers retaining only $7.9 million.  

Jackson and the two companies he controlled have jointly paid $100,000 to the BCSC. Jackson is also prohibited for eight years from becoming or acting as a director or officer of an issuer or registrant and is suspended from participating in various investment market activities.

Investment Caution List  

The BCSC’s Investment Caution List notifies British Columbians about unqualified investments and unregistered activity originating from outside of the province but accepts BC residents as clients.  

Liquidchart 

Liquidchart claims to offer different account types to trade CFDs in forex, stocks, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.  

QuantumTrade  

QuantumTrade claims to be located in Austria and it also claims to offer different account types for trading in forex, stocks, indices, cryptocurrencies, and commodities.  

Whintex  

Whintex claims to be located in Toronto, Canada and it also claims to offer trading services in cryptocurrencies.  

Braxton Wealth Management  

Braxton Wealth Management claims to have offices in Switzerland and it claims to offer a platform for their clients to invest in both digital and traditional assets.  

Aegis Corporate Financial Services Limited (Aegis)  

Aegis claims to be located in Ontario, Canada, and it also claims to offer different account types for trading in forex, indices, commodities, stocks, and cryptocurrencies.  

WiseWealth  

WiseWealth claims to offer CFD trading services in forex, stocks, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies.  

Fin Tech Platform  

Fin Tech Platform claims to be located in the United Kingdom and it also claims to offer different account types for trading CFDs in forex, stocks, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.  

Lyraten  

Lyraten claims to offer different account types for trading CFDs in forex, indices, stocks, commodities, and cryptocurrencies.  

Republicantrades 

Republicantrades claims to offer different investment plans for trading CFDs in forex, cryptocurrencies, and binary options.  

Ultradx 

Ultradx claims to offer trading services in cryptocurrencies.  

Advanta Wealth (no relation to the UK registered firm Advanta Wealth Ltd.)  

https://www.advantawealth.co claims to be located in the United Kingdom and it also claims to offer different types of accounts for trading in forex, cryptocurrencies, stocks and real estate. 

FX Markets  

FX Markets claims to offer different types of accounts for trading CFDs in forex, cryptocurrencies, commodities, indices, and stocks.  

All Capital Trade  

All Capital Trade claims to be located in London and it also claims to provide managed account services for traditional and crypto assets.  

Eternity-trade.io  

Eternity-trade.io claims to offer trading services in cryptocurrencies and forex.  

Nixse 

Nixse claims to be located in Taiwan and it also claims to offer different types of accounts for trading in forex, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and stocks.  

Tbanque  

Tbanque claims to be located in United Kingdom, Cyprus, USA, and Australia. It claims to offer trading services in stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, forex, indices, and ETFs.  

WiseCapitalX 

WiseCapitalX claims to offer online trading services in currencies, commodities, stocks, indices, and cryptocurrencies.
